DESCRIPTION:The Jazz & Rib Fest is one of the most anticipated downtown eve
 nts in Columbus and the Midwest. The tantalizing aroma of ribs on the grill
  mixed with cool jazz makes a combination that is undeniably delicious. Thi
 s year\, the Arena District will provide a new exciting venue to celebrate 
 30 years of the event's signature elements-hot ribs and cool jazz.

 2009 Event Highlights:

\n-Two stages will host the best in local\, natio
 nal and international jazz artists. Past performances have included David S
 anborn\, Dianne Reeves\, Sypro Gyra\, Tito Puente\, Ramsey Lewis and Diane 
 Schuur.

\n-22 rib-burners representing 10 states and Canada will compete
  for "best ribs" bragging rights.

\n-New-North Bank Pavilion\, a stunnin
 g glass structure that will host the hospitality suite and rib judging.

\n-New-The Jazz Café\, a water-side venue that will showcase intimate per
 formances set against the picturesque city skyline.
