DESCRIPTION:The Betts House is pleased to remind residents and guests of ou
 r city of the exhibit\, More Great Cincinnati Families at Home\, on view th
 rough September 30\, 2009. The exhibit includes the residences of the Emery
 \, Longworth-Anderson\, Maxwell-Schmidlapp-Graydon\, and Werk-Oskamp famili
 es. \n\nThe companion lecture series\, given by architectural historian W
 alter E. Langsam\, offers an in-depth look at each of the families\, their 
 homes\, and their architects. Lectures includes slide presentations featuri
 ng historic and contemporary views of the exteriors and interiors of the ho
 mes. The final lecture will be held September 19\, 2009 and covers the home
 s of the Maxwell-Schmidlapp-Graydon families. This date has been moved from
  the original September 12th lecture date. \n\nThe lecture series is spon
 sored by The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State
  of Ohio. This program is made possible\, in part\, by the Ohio Humanities 
 Council\, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. 
 \n\nThe lecture will be held at the Cincinnati Fire Museum\, 315 West Cour
 t Street in downtown Cincinnati. Admission is $10 for the public and $5 for
  members of the Betts House or the Cincinnati Fire Museum. The fee includes
  admission to the Betts House exhibit More Great Cincinnati Families at Hom
 e and a pass to visit the Cincinnati Fire Museum. Pre-registration is reque
 sted.
