DESCRIPTION:Opera Columbus will perform excerpts from Puccini's classic ope
 ra La Bohème.  La Bohème is the quintessential romantic opera and was the i
 nspiration for Jonathan Larson's musical Rent.  Performed in English\, the 
 program will feature the operatic directorial debut of performance artist R
 obert Post.  \n\nMr. Post has performed his one-man shows throughout the 
 country making stops in New York\, Michigan\, Colorado and Missouri to name
  a few.   Post has also helped direct various productions including Cindere
 lla\, Coppelia and The Nutcracker for BalletMet Columbus as well as theater
  productions of Noises Off and Urinetown. He serves as an adjunct professor
  in theater at Ohio State University.\n\nPerforming the role of Mimi\, so
 prano Erica Post is currently a graduate student at The Ohio State Universi
 ty and covered the role of Countess Almaviva in their production of Le Nozz
 e di Figaro.  Tenor Jon Jurgens sings the role of Rodolfo.  He appeared as 
 Basilio in The Ohio State University's Le Nozze di Figaro and was named a 2
 009 winner the annual Concerto Competition.  Singing Musetta will be sopran
 o Karolyn Lee who recently appeared as Gretel in Opera Columbus' touring pr
 oduction of Hansel and Gretel and was seen as the soprano soloist in Opera 
 Columbus' Improv Opera.\n
