DESCRIPTION:Wood-fired ceramics.
\nMy work is all about volume\, the space 
 contained within the pot. Sometimes I enclose it\, and other times I reveal
  it. Pots are made of volumes\; volumes are defined by curves\, and curves 
 are expressed in pots by silhouette and contour. How the silhouette moves f
 rom convex to concave\, how the line of the silhouette expresses itself as 
 either fast or slow and how it generates 'speed' as it moves from foot to r
 im\, all relate to how our bodies move through space. This innate connectio
 n is for me the primal language of ceramic vessel form. It has the potentia
 l to reflect our universal human story\, regardless of politics\, culture o
 r history.
