DESCRIPTION:Since its founding in 1983 by Michael Levine\, the Dallas Brass
  has become one of America 's foremost musical ensembles. The group has est
 ablished a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full comple
 ment of drums and percussion\, which creates a performing entity of extraor
 dinary range and musical challenges. The Dallas Brass repertoire includes c
 lassical masterpieces\, Dixieland\, swing\, Broadway\, Hollywood and patrio
 tic music. According to Mr. Levine\, "A Dallas Brass concert is intended fo
 r the entire family. Our ideal audience has a range in ages from 5 to 95. O
 ur goal is to entertain and enrich by playing great music\, while showing o
 ur audience how much we enjoy what we do." This performance will include an
 d unprecedented educational component. Sidney and Shelby County high and mi
 ddle school music students will be invited to spend the afternoon with Dall
 as Brass musicians in rehearsals and clinics. They will then take the stage
  to perform with the Dallas Brass during the evening performance.
